Dr. Kördel joined Lundbeckfonden Ventures in 2010 as a senior partner. He is a director of Acacia Pharma, Enterome, Reneo Pharmaceuticals and VHSquared. Before joining Lundbeckfonden Ventures, Dr. Kördel worked 20 years in the pharma and biotech industry with structural biology, discovery, research management, early development, portfolio management, business development and alliance management. He was previously co-founder and CEO of Sound Biotech ApS, and co-founder and senior vice president of research and business development at Biovitrum AB. Prior to these positions, he worked for almost a decade at the pharmaceutical company Pharmacia. Dr. Kördel has co-founded multiple biotech companies and served on numerous boards, in both private and public life science companies.
Dr. Kördel trained as a physical chemist at the University of Lund, Sweden, Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California and Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. He is an associate professor of physical chemistry at the University of Lund, Sweden.
